BETH ROBERTS

Songwriter | Vocalist | Musician | Teacher | Curator

Beth Roberts is a songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Bristol, UK. Her music explores feelings of grief, post-religious identity, uncertainty and the reclamation of joy.

Her core collaborations form a vibrant constellation of folk-aligned projects with a strong DIY ethos: Hands of the Heron (“near-telepathic unaccompanied singing” – PROG Magazine), Hedera (“Dramatic & deftly played…” – FATEA), Tryani Collective (“Emotionally powerful” – Jazzwise Magazine) and House of Figs (“Hypnotic… radiates tenderness and awe” – Sabotage Reviews).

She is co-director of Cuculi Records, and curates the long-running Cuculi Presents gig series around Bristol, creating listening spaces for quiet new music that falls between genre gaps.

She is Musician-in-Residence at University Hospitals Bristol & Weston, bringing music directly onto wards.

She teaches singing & songwriting with a somatic focus to adults in 1:1 sessions and group workshops – get in touch to book.

Beth’s upcoming debut album has been supported by PRS Foundation’s Women Make Music: prsfoundation.com
